A different kind of day at the office

The Focus Group Executive Lounge is a light, relaxed workspace tucked inside The County Ground - home to Sussex Cricket since 1872 and one of the South Coast’s most recognisable venues.

Originally designed as a hospitality and networking lounge, the space now opens on selected non-match days for local professionals, remote workers, freelancers, and businesses looking for somewhere better to spend the working day.

With natural light, complimentary refreshments, great connectivity, and a unique setting, it offers a welcome alternative to coffee shop working or staying home alone.

Work from Hove was created around the way modern businesses work today - flexible, connected, collaborative, and occasionally in need of somewhere considerably better than the dining room table.

“Our relationship with Sussex Cricket spans over a decade. The County Ground has always brought people together. Work from Hove felt like a natural next step.”

Wesley McGovern, Regional Managing Director, Focus Group

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Work from Hove is completely free to use for local professionals, Focus Group customers, Sussex Cricket members, and partner businesses.

Rather than charging for the space, we simply ask visitors to consider making a small contribution to the Focus Foundation and the community initiatives it supports across the South East.

Can I take calls?

Yes, absolutely.

Work from Hove is designed around the way modern businesses work today, so calls and online meetings are completely fine. We simply ask visitors to be mindful that the lounge is a shared open workspace and to keep longer calls considerate where possible.

The overall atmosphere is relaxed, professional, and quieter than a coffee shop.

Are there meeting rooms available?

No. Work from Hove is designed as an open shared workspace rather than a private office or formal meeting room environment.

The lounge is best suited to focused work, admin, emails, planning, remote working, and informal conversations throughout the day.

What happens when I arrive?

When you arrive at The County Ground, enter via the main reception and let the team know you’re visiting for Work from Hove.

The Focus Group Executive Lounge is located within the venue’s hospitality areas and signage will direct you on arrival.

Wi-Fi details and workspace information will be available inside the lounge.

Is parking included?

Yes. Free parking is available on site on a first come, first served basis on non-match days.

No parking registration is required unless otherwise advised before your visit.

What’s the catch?

There isn’t one.

Work from Hove was created by Focus Group and Sussex Cricket to give local professionals a better place to spend the working day inside one of the South Coast’s most recognisable venues.

Somewhere between a member’s lounge, a coworking space, and your favourite café.

Good Wi-Fi, good coffee, free parking, and a relaxed atmosphere. That’s it.
